After their successful winter clothing drive, the 8th graders are continuing their involvement in the Alexandria community. This week, Megan Gallagher, Jaelin Blyther, and Caroline land helped kick off a new tutoring initiative at Community Lodgings. The girls worked one-on-one with elementary-aged children from local public schools, helping them with their homework and listening as the children practiced reading aloud. This is an exciting opportunity for the ACDS 8th graders to act as mentors to the younger students. Stay tuned for more information and photos of the students at work.
